1. Where can I buy tickets to visit the White House?

As an individual, you cannot purchase White House tickets at this time.  Tour requests must be submitted through one's member of Congress at least one month and up to six months in advance. The tours are self-guided and will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call the White House Visitors Center at 202-456-7041 or visit http://www.whitehouse.gov    

2. How can I get tickets to the FBI?

The FBI Building is currently closed to the public for renovation.

3. Where is the MINT (Bureau of Engraving & Printing) and how can I get tickets?

This is where you go to see money being printed. Free, guided tours are offered Monday-Friday between 9am & 2pm. Starting at 8:00am, same-day tickets are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis at the ticket booth on Raul Wallenberg Place. 4. How can I get passes to the Capitol Building?

Same day tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis at the Capitol Guide Service kiosk near First St & Independence Ave SW., beginning at 8:15am, Monday thru Saturday 9AM to 4:30PM. For additional tour info call (202) 225-6827 or visit http://www.aoc.gov 

5. How late are the museums and monuments open?

Most Smithsonian museums are open until 5:30pm with some buildings open for extended hours during summer months. Phone (202) 633-1000. www.si.edu. Most memorials can be visited up until midnight. See the National Park Service web site for information - www.nps.gov and see the National Mall.

6. Where can I get tickets to the Washington Monument?

Free same-day tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis at the kiosk near the monument's base at 15th & Constitution Avenue, NW starting at 8:00am. Advance tickets are available (2.00 service fee) through the NPS by calling 1/877-444-6777 or visit www.nps.gov . For security reasons do not bring bags, backpacks, etc. larger than 18"x16"x6". Food and liquids are not allowed. For more information, phone 202-426-6841.
