Each year the DC Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Business Journal host a Business Summit that focuses on the unique advantages of doing business in the Nation's Capital. This year's Summit - "After the Storm: Emerging Stronger than Before," will explore what you should be doing during this recession to position your business for economic recovery.
Network Solutions CEO Roy Dunbar will be delivering the morning address, entitled: "Small
Businesses and How They Measure Success". Our luncheon keynote speaker is Richmond Federal Reserve Bank President Dr. Jeffrey Lacker, whose experience provides a unique outlook of the current economic climate.
The event includes extraordinary speakers, opportunities to exchange ideas, explore business partnerships and access to an advanced copy of the State of the Business Report prior to its release in the Washington Business Journal. The State of the Business Report, created annually by a local economist, highlights the challenges and opportunities we face in our city.

Accessing Capital will focus on federal and local grant opportunities, angel investors, and how companies can tap into the stimulus funding. Bonding will highlight the legal distinctions between construction-related bond forms,
practical uses and applications for various construction-related bonds,

Strategic Management will discuss how to guarantee business success by making business decisions with strategic thought and direction as a guide. Panelists include: Dr. Malva Daniel Reid, Options Unlimited, LLC, and Ken Fang, CEO, Altum, Inc. (invited).
How Healthy Is Your Business will ask seminar participants the probing questions that will help them
gauge whether their businesses are viable operations or one step away
