DC Chamber of Commerce Business Resource Center
The DC Chamber of Commerce Business Resource Center (BRC) provides advisory services, technical assistance and low-to-no cost training for entrepreneurs located in the District of Columbia. We place particular emphasis and focus on strengthening existing establishments in the Takoma, DC and Upper Georgia Avenue commercial corridors.
In partnership with the DC Department of Housing and Community Development and Department of Small and Local Business Development, the BRC services include: one-on-one counseling; access to capital, seminars and workshops; small business technology learning center and conference room space.
Upper Georgia Avenue Business Assistance Program
The DC Chamber of Commerce Foundation (DCCCF) has partnered with the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development to enhance the economic landscape of the District of Columbia. Through the Upper Georgia Avenue Business Assistance Program, the DCCCF provides technical assistance and services to retain and expand businesses located between Fern Street, NW and Eastern Avenue, NW. The DCCCF is conducting the following services to assist businesses in the commercial corridor.
• Assessing the needs of businesses operating in the Upper Georgia Avenue commercial corridor;
• Providing technical assistance and services to improve the quality of existing businesses;
• Promoting the corridor to potential customers;
• Improving selected storefronts to improve the corridor’s image.
