DC Chamber of Commerce Foundation Financial Scholars Program

The DC Chamber of Commerce Foundation Financial Scholars Program is financial literacy program designed to improve the quality of life for the District's young residents. Through a 3-D interactive gaming and learning management system (powered by Everfi), we can improve DC residents' chances for success both professionally and personally. Our goal is to prepare young adults ages 16 - 22 years to achieve financial independence, take control of their money, and secure their financial future.

“I liked the saving module, because I personally enjoyed the interactive portions, such as balancing Rufus' budget. Activities like these allow us to show what we learned in the videos and environment in a practical, real-life situation, and give me a better understanding of the material.”  Student, Duke Ellington Schools for the Arts

Industry Sector Initiative

The DC Chamber of Commerce Foundation in partnership with the DC Chamber of Commerce brings business and education together in forums designed to enhance and develop the labor force necessary to meet the challenges of today’s business climate and tomorrow’s technological advancements. In 2010, the DC Chamber of Commerce convened three forums to discuss the workforce trends and challenges in three industry sectors: Banking and Financial Services, Healthcare and Hospitality and Tourism.
